Description of attraction/activity:

The permanent exhibit is meant for remembrance and awareness. By means of documents, photos and a range or military artefacts it reminds of the November 1944 battle and the fighting in the “Hürtgenwald,“ where altogether some 70.000 American and German soldiers lost their lives.  The musem also possesses the uniquely-preserved medical bunker in North-Rhine Westphalia.  Slide show on the historic developments available on request.

Time allowance/tour duration: inside the museum: individual.  Terrain walking tours range from 3 – 8 hrs.
Length (in KMs) of the trail:

cross-terrain tour: about  3,5 – 8 KM.

Degree of difficulty: museum is accessible for disabled; terrain walk is partially of medium- to higher difficulty degree.
Parking available: sufficient parking is available in front of the museum.
