The “Westwall” Center Eifel is located within the communities of Dahlem, Hellenthal and Obere Kyll, half-way between Cologne and Trier and can be easily reached via federal highways A1 and A60.

Description of attraction/activity:

The “Westwall Center Eifel” currently encompasses 16 intact and touristically- exploitable “Westwall” installations, constructed during the 1936-1940 time frame.  Historic Military Mission-organized and guided tours provide close up knowledge on regional/local – and military history,defense techniques, defensive architecture and a variety of additional details in regard to nature and ecological particularities in relation with the “Westwall” in the Eifel. 
NB: The “Westwall” Center is currently under construction and can be visited as of May 2006.
